Technology Robotix Society is an official society under the Technology Students’ Gymkhana, IIT Kharagpur, and is a focal point for activities and projects related to robotics on campus. With its reach expanding steadily each year, it has cemented its position as one of the nerve-centres of amateur robotics in India.
We are involved in various initiatives in the field of robotics throughout the year. TRS organizes KRAIG workshops to provide the campus community with beginner-level exposure to robotics. We also host our flagship Winter School, where advanced robotics topics are taught rigorously. Additionally, we organize Makerspace, which serves as a dedicated ground for builders to come together, collaborate, and build bots.

TRS is not open to selections for senior students; generally, only freshers can join the society.
Yes, TRS does not require new members to possess prior knowledge in robotics or programming. You’ll learn everything from scratch once you join the team. We encourage you to take part in the selections!
Freshers selected for the society are exposed to diverse fields such as manual robotics, image processing, and autonomous systems.
