On-Spot Robotix
Prizes Worth Rs 25k !

A tribute to the culture of innovation, a rendezvous to efficient and speedy robot-making, Robotix 2008 brings to you the brand new concept of On-spot Robotix.
For those who come, who see, who wish they had a robot to conquer...a grand opportunity to test your niche at robot-making on the spot. Whether you have a passion for thrilling structural designs or hard core electronic circuits, this event is just what you need to experience.
Two separate problem statements- one each for manual and autonomous robots to be released on the spot and 12 memorable hours of your life. 12 hrs of Excitement, 12 hrs of FUN, 12 Hrs of putting dormant grey cells to use!

All the basic components required (eg. ICs, breadboard, multimeter, batteries, motors… everything) will be provided to the teams on the spot. A written preliminary test will be conducted to shortlist a specified number of teams for this spine-chilling experience.
This is your chance to prove that your intuition and aptitude is superior to those yet banking on clichéd methods and algorithms.
Quick thinking and quicker implementation is the KEY.

A game where the Best and Fastest conquers!
Can you feel the adrenaline rush?
A race against time... and you are invited !

  2. The autonomous category will include making of an autonomous robot, most significantly its circuit using logic gates only.
  3. Each team can register for only one of the two categories – manual  or  autonomous.
  4. Each team consists of a maximum of three members only.
  5. A written preliminary round will be conducted to short-list a specified number of teams for the 12-hour round.
  6. The problem statement for both the categories will be announced on the spot.
  7. The maximum time allotted for each category is 12 hours from the announcement of the problem statement.
